WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MAIN EVENT
The Circuit has been run and 12 amazing players have come out on top with the last 4 of our 16 person event coming from live events around the globe or additional circuit players (the PC is still identifying how many invites are going out for events).
I'm happy to announce that we'll be running this year's final tournament on Saturday December 5th at 1500 UTC
WHAT WILL THE EVENT LOOK LIKE
The final event will be a 16 person double elimination tournament.
The winners' bracket (where undefeated players are handing others their first loss) will be playing PC-Movie
The losers' bracket (where players with one loss will knock each other out of the tournament) will be playing PC-Fellowship
The final table, between the last undefeated contender and the last single defeat contender, will play until one of them has 2 total losses in the tournament the contender with one defeat will choose the format for their first match and if there's a second match the loser of the first will select it's format.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
If you have questions not listed below, please bring up your concern on the PC Discord.
I TIED WITH ANOTHER PLAYER, HOW DID OUR SEED ORDER GET DECIDED?
Players with the highest tournament placement, or most of the highest placement if tied (eg. Basmelis and dstaley both had 18 points, Basmelis was ranked ahead because he won 2 circuit events compared to dstaley winning one).
I'M ON THE WAIT LIST, WHEN WILL I KNOW IF THERE'S A SEAT FOR ME?
We're hoping to get final details from our live event communities by the end of October and will start reaching out to potential additional players after that.
WHY ARE SOME SEATS SAVED FOR LIVE EVENTS?
The Player's Council loves this long out of print game that we all play. While our work is done on Gemp and played online we want to do our part to encourage local communities to keep playing; offering a selection of seats to our largest events are one such way we try and give back to these groups.
WILL THERE BE COMMENTARY FOR THE LIVE EVENT?
Baring disaster, Mock will be doing commentary for the live event. If anyone else is interested either in joining or in reviewing some matches that didn't get watched live after the fact, please reach out to the Player's Council and we'll help you get setup to join the fun.
BASMELIS IS SOOOO GOOD, DO I GET ANYTHING SPECIAL IF I BEAT HIM?
Yes, Bas has been on top for too long! Keep an eye out for potential spoilers about the kind of prizes you might get for bringing down the champion.
We look forward to seeing you all on Gemp!
Sincerely,
Mock and the Player’s Council
